2. Data protection officer

3. Hosting and server log files

When this website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically stores information transmitted by your browser in server log files: the page accessed, date and time of access, volume of data transferred, referrer, browser type and version, operating system and the truncated IP address. This data is not merged with other sources. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in the technically faultless operation and security of the website. 4. No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services, and embeds no external content, fonts, maps or videos from third-party servers. All fonts and images are served from our own server. Consent under § 25 TDDDG is therefore not required and no cookie banner is displayed.

5. Local browser storage

We use your browser’s local storage to remember your language choice and any enquiry draft you have started. This information never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us. You can delete it at any time through your browser settings.

6. Freight enquiries and contact

When you complete the enquiry form, the details are assembled entirely in your browser and transferred into an email that you send yourself from your own email client. No transmission to our web server takes place. Subsequent processing of your email is carried out in order to handle your enquiry and to take pre-contractual steps on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, and otherwise on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

7. Processing in the course of transport orders

To carry out transport and logistics orders we process contact and order data relating to contacts at clients, consignors and consignees. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for third-party data. Recipients of this data are performing carriers, transshipment operators, customs authorities and, where necessary, insurers. Data is transferred only where necessary to perform the order.

8. Retention

We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes stated. Commercial and tax retention obligations under § 257 HGB and § 147 AO (six and ten years respectively), together with retention obligations under customs and dangerous goods law, remain unaffected.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Any consent given may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. An informal message to the contact details above is sufficient.

10. Right to complain

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.
